For many, asking for help is an admission of incompetence; it represents the white flag of surrender.   This is especially true in America, where we value the “rugged individualist.”

If you study the most successful people throughout history, you will find that they all leaned on others at times to help them succeed.   Asking for help is not an act of ignorance, but rather one of courage and intelligence.  It’s just plain smart to get help.
